Just wow.

How the fuck did I convince my mother to let me go to Maine for a week?  Esspecially the same mother who before was worried that Rob was going to rape/murder me and had the same convictions toward Ben?

I guess this is a step in the right direction, but wow.

I should be a lawyer if I'm that good.

I've found after the first time and you come back unscathed, the parents seem to take a giant shitfit less.

The first time I went to visit Mikel, my Nan (mother's mother) dropped me off bawling (yes, crying her eyes out) saying she was never going to see me again, that he was an axe murderer, on and on....I mildly pointed out that most axe murderers don't have wives and she sort of just glared at me and started crying again. Eheh ^^;

Oh, I know. She's right - it gets better once you go the first time, and then you'll eventually stop hearing things about it.
